Does The Duskbloods Have Single-Player, PvE, or Co-op?

What the Network Test and official material confirm about solo practice, PvE enemies, alliances, co-op-like moments, and the planned retail game.

The clearest answer

The Duskbloods is an online multiplayer action game. Its main Dusk Battles combine player-versus-player and player-versus-environment pressure, so it is neither a conventional single-player Souls-style adventure nor a simple co-op boss game.

That does not mean every moment is a direct PvP fight. The Network Test included a tutorial where players could learn the systems without entering a competitive match, and the main matches contained enemies, powerful foes, events, vassals, and opportunities to cooperate.

What “PvE” meant in the Network Test

SituationWhat players could do
TutorialLearn core rules without fighting other players.
Ordinary field enemiesGain experience and useful effects.
Powerful foesTake on harder PvE threats for stronger rewards.
Invader battleAccept a cooperative request and temporarily stop damaging nearby players.
Final phaseCompete with other surviving Bloodsworn; the retail version is also planned to include PvE-style final encounters in some cases.

This mixture is the point of the game. You may need another player to help defeat a powerful enemy, then compete with that same player for Virtue later in the phase.

Is there co-op with friends?

The Network Test did not allow players to invite friends directly into multiplayer. The official FAQ says this functionality is planned for the retail version. Test coverage also described Blood Alliance mode, where two players fought as a pair and their combined Virtue mattered.

That is promising for players who want to play together, but it is not the same as a confirmed campaign co-op mode. We still do not know the final matchmaking choices, private-play options, or whether every mode will support friend parties.

Is there an offline single-player campaign?

No separate offline campaign has been announced. Nintendo lists one player on a single system and online play for one to eight players; that does not establish an offline story mode. The safest expectation is that the central experience remains online, with solo learning and varied PvE elements inside that broader multiplayer structure.
