Powers of Blood in The Duskbloods Explained
How Powers of Blood were obtained, selected, equipped, and changed during The Duskbloods Network Test, based on the official guide.
What are Powers of Blood?
Powers of Blood are effects that strengthen a Bloodsworn during a Dusk Battle. In the Network Test, they formed one part of match-specific progression alongside character levels, weapon enhancements, items, and contracted kin. The official guide confirms their acquisition and equipment rules but not a complete effect list.
How did players obtain Powers of Blood?
Players could earn Powers of Blood by defeating Formidable Foes or more dangerous external enemies called Invaders. After a qualifying victory, the player selected one Power from a set of presented choices rather than receiving a single predetermined effect.
Invader fights could also prompt a temporary cooperation request to nearby Bloodsworn. Players who accepted could work together against the threat, although the official guide does not specify every reward-sharing rule.
How many Powers could be active?
A Bloodsworn could have up to five acquired Powers of Blood active simultaneously in the Network Test. Players could freely swap their acquired Powers in a dedicated menu, allowing the active set to change as the match situation developed.
| Rule | Network Test behavior |
|---|---|
| Source | Formidable Foes and Invaders |
| Selection | Choose one from presented options |
| Active limit | Up to five at once |
| Changing setup | Acquired Powers could be swapped in a dedicated menu |
Were Powers permanent progression?
The official Network Test guide presents Powers of Blood as part of strengthening a Bloodsworn inside a Dusk Battle. It does not describe them as permanent account upgrades or confirm that they carry between matches. Release progression, the full Power pool, rarity, and final balance remain unannounced.
How do they differ from Skills and Aspects?
Bloodsworn Skills and Aspects belonged to a character’s selected setup, while Powers of Blood were acquired during the match. Weapons, character level, contracted kin, and regional enhancements formed additional layers, so a Power should not be confused with a character’s named Skill.
